Gate — Sunrise and Sunset

Everything that exists has an inception and termination — it occurs, exists and disappears from nothingness into being and again it vanishes into nothingness — Heraclitus.

The life force, the passing of time and its cyclical rhythms, life cycle i.e. the cycle of nature: birth, life, death and rebirth are presented in the installation “Gate — Sunrise and Sunset”.

The gate is an entrance into a new life from which everything else derives and everything else arises. It symbolizes the protective aspect of the “Great Mother”, the mother of our existence. Everything springs from her and everything returns within her. She is a birth, life and death, sunrise and sunset of human's life path — the unpredictable river.
